Straight from the classroom!!!

Writing this post while sitting in classroom,3rd session of first day of second term is going on and this post contains truth and only truth.

Prof is tryng to explain in his broken english and bong accent how to calcuate values of some variables a,b,c,d and e, and i don't have any clue what this alphabets are actually representing in this problem which requires solution in such a way so as to solve something related to media advertising problem of a B-School(probably i got this prob right!!!), Studious guy sitting behind me is complaining how pathetically this prof is taking class, i can't support or counter his comment as you can see i am actually not in the class, 60% of class is having good night sleep at 12:57 PM.

Girl sitting in front of me is turning behind again and again to watch the time in classroom wall clock, probably she is hungry and certainly she is bored! this person is comparing length of two identical reynold pens and now he is convinced that they are of same length, now he is putting those pens in his ears, i really don't know what he is trying to do.

Now prof is taking break by scolding some people for constantly making noise in his class, and everyone suddenly woke up, i hope things will get back into normal in a little while.

Ann sees me and wonders what i am writing (nothing buddy, trying to survive through the lecture) prof says whatever he is teaching is both art as well as science, i think he is talking about creative arts and rocket science, backbenchers as always are grinning probably they find proffessors much more humorous then us.

Some people are complaining these problems can be solved in 5 minutes, i do believe them!

Ok i just got a reminder that i have to stop prof from overshooting the time. so i should stop now!

17 hours of train journey!
5.5 hours of road journey!
3 hrs of sleep!
70 minutes of lecture of this prof!
Life can't get worse.

Random stuffs!!

Lots of stuffs happening around the world, and we don't get to know about them if we don't watch these news channels which incidentally we don't watch at the campus, but in my home thats the best option i have to kill time the next best option is to watch star plus serials(yeah kyunki saas bhi and all those).

Some time back i heard that these terrorist organizations are planning to attack IIMs also, Now if by chance they decide to attack IIM Indore it would be real disaster for them, first they have to spend some 150 bucks in autorickshaw or they have to travel by mini transport buses and then they have to walk some 4 kilometers, to reach the campus, which itself has so tightened security, yes they might have to even tell their names if they decides to attack after 11:00 pm. the other thing is, if they want to return back they have to ask for my bike, the probability of it being available is near to zero hence you see there is no going back!!!!

Now coming back to suffs happening around the world, India is taking on Australia in some DLF cup match which has taken the form of semi final( i mean they said that its not real semi final but who ever wins will play final so thats semi final), but thats not the real stuff, i mean these cricket matches are never ending bunch of series, yeh toh hote rehte hain, jo nahin hota woh hai Lalu's management lessons at IIM Ahemdabad. I also got to know that railway chair worth 15 lakh that was presented to IIMA was supposedly to be given to IIMI, see we again losed out to our big brother, anyways politics mein yeh sab chalta rehta hai, trust me people this is in no way the result of inefficiences of ACADCOM.

I am not sure whether railway Minister was called for these grants or the motif was really to know about the railway's turnaround from him.

Some Criminal number 9,10 and 12 are being held responsible for the blasts in mumbai.no no not the current one, the one that happened way back in 1993,chalo better late then never.

The good thing about studying at IIM is that your parents don't ask you to study, and the outside world think of you as a future millionaire, and you really like to wear BLACK IS DEAD I KILLED IT everywhere you go, so what if the original white shirt is actually turned into yellow!!

I hope i get my black one on returning to campus!!

Management Lessons

M1: yaar i thought if we can incerease our search cost we can get a better deal!
M2 : you know he suddenly saw customers coming from other side as a result we were no more in monopsonistic competition hence he refused you.
M3: But in this way he also increased his implicit cost that might result in bad deal for him.

voila we really getting some management lessons..

Scene 2 : Manohar Restaurent Bhopal

M2: Menu laana
waiter seems uninterested
M3: arey hum jaldi main hain, menu laana
M2: I think he is having attitude problem
M1: I think he is a demotivated employee
M3: Problem lies with his manager he might not know how to manage people at work places
M1: Its more to do with the structure of restaurent
M2: no its more to do with kind of monotonus work he is doing thats the reason for him getting demotivated.

Thats the thing about the management, you tend to give reasons for each and everything and then try to find the solutions of problem which does not exist. this reminds me of Behavioral Perspective to look at organization where solutions are in constant search of problem (humm!!!)

Consider if this scene happened 3 month earlier instead of 3 managers there would have been 3 engineers instead

you see life of engineers is so much simpler and practical, less analysis and nearly same results

life at home is in real contrast with that on campus i am missing everything here, dal with cockroach inside, stray dogs of campus,sleep dprivation and something more, but still its gud to be at home for few days, so i am enjoying every bit of it with good food, abundant sleep and something less.

of this and that of not so studious types!!!

I am facing a big problem these days, i can't study on week days because after classes have to make some rounds of admin block so that we don't get a hit from our batch mates and then have to catch some sleep to compensate for the lose due to fifa matches of previous nites, as a result when i wake up its generally time for having a dinner, and after dinner you have to play fifa to lighten your heart which really becomes heavy due to food they provide and girls we see in the mess(anyways don't take it to heart girls, you are always beautiful, no matter what we say) and by the time i start winning some of the matches, its usually time to have a look at the nite canteen hoping against the hope, that this time i will catch the glimpse of good food and pretty girls,(ohoh yaar why are you taking it personally) but alas! have to come back again to my room with sorry face and worrying eye. As it generally happens that the guy who just lose a match can't give up, he challenges back for rematch and can you deny a challenge?(you coward!!!) so its fifa time again(i think i should uninstall this game!) by the time i realize that end term is two days away its time to hit the cot, else how will i attend the classes!!

On weekends its simply stupid to waste your time with the books, come on yaar we get a break of single day and it really becomes necessary to know the details about SRK's infidelity and gandhigiri of Munna Bhai(some how he is no more a bhai,lets start calling him uncle!) i wonder what will happen if they feature him on MB part 3(if thats also on the cards!) ,anyways lets not drift away from the topic. so by the time you again realize that end term is only two days away, it becomes time for preparing for next day classes and what better way to do that then to have nice and peaceful sleep.

By the way thats what time management is all about you have to manage time for all these activties, under so much pressure of study, assignment,quizes,end term and not to forget CP, i think i am doing a good job,come to think about it, i got lowest marks in the batch in only one quiz which will get compensated by not accounting for your worst quiz! so i am sure that i will going to become world class manager from world class institute.

If you are still reading this and by any chance you belong to PGP1 batch of IIM Indore, shall i have to remind you again that end term is only two days away! for others don't you get the gist IIM life is all about study and no fun. its killer of your life happiness (except for the mess food and beautiful girls!)

Lier?

I don't know why ? but i am really having a problem of showing my unnecessary centimental side (which is actually not there) to others without having any concrete reason to do so for example today i told one of my newly found close friend that life sucks because i feel my life is getting purposeless, but the fact is that i never felt that way, in retrospect i feel life gives you purpose for each and every moment and you have to live to that purpose.
parties at this place rocks(its still rocking at 5:46 am) actually whole of this place rocks,each and everyone here (probably except me) is a potential rocker, somehow they are too entangled in weightage of assignments,quizes and end term,
In search of having grades starting with first two alphabets some people participate lot in class!!!
i mean they give lot of CP(class participation) in our terminology and this really becomes interesting for others,
Sometimes people making CP for known or unknown reasons, simply becomes inaudible at other times their hand touches the ceilings of classroom.
Sometimes they went onto define what exactly post modernism is (which by-chance is never been defined by anyone, i told you! this place is full of smart people) at other times they just feel that tie of others is not properly nit.
Sometimes they want to know about details of preferencial share capital when prof was about to start with share capital at other times, after the class gets over they realize that subject dosen't carry any weightage for CP.
Sometimes they say that manager in coma is not a good manager, at other times they feel that they are not having their fair share (fire shaayer) of participation in class (CP again)
and when they don't care about anything thay want SQL to be solved by JAVA ( or was it JOUVA)

Huh??

Yeah this is my condition nowadays confused, confounded and every other synonym associated with it.
The last (and only) post was made on 5th may 2005 and current date shown by my system is some 7th september 2006. what does it means? it means i am 5 days away from giving end term exam of 1st term of newfounded (refounded) college life.
Lots have been changed over the period of two posts, infact everything, got my first job, resigned from it, things which now i look upto, girls whom i take interest in, my mobile number(it got changed many times in between), people whom i call my close friends, people with whom i spend time with, websites i surf and what not?
Seems change is really the only permanent thing around, anyways it dosen't matter, i have enough experience of people going out and coming in life to create any kind of nostalgia.
This is not the only reason of confusion that got created around, but its something to do with air around this place, marks i am scoring in quizes and approaching of end term exams.
Regarding some of the subjects i am as confused as a child in topless bar (sidhuism), actually interpersonal communication is really getting a hit (having a quiz today over this topic), 75% people in my gtalk and messenger are having their status as busy and rest are offline.
haah its time i also get going,as they say its survival of fittest, i just hope that not so busy guy also survive!!!!
